The relationship between technoid Berlin dub and forward UK Bass styles is further cemented with the second installment of Scape's 'Round Black Ghosts' series, coralling the finest picks from the fringes and techier corners of the Dubstep game. Previous contributors Peverelist, Martyn, Untold, Ramadanman and Pole all feature again with fresh material, but this time the selectors draw for further cuts from TRG, Zed Bias, Scuba and Kontext to expand the idea. This is the only place you'll find many of these tracks on CD, with TRG's 'Ghetto Romance' demonstrating why he's garnered so much attention in the last year, Zed Bias' 'Cauldron' making a return to darkside form for the dubstep pioneer, and Scuba's 'Bleach' blurring the boundaries between the UK and Berlin styles. Kode9's oft overlooked gem with badawi 'Den Of Drumz' is a finely picked selection, and next to Flying Lotus' genius remix of Martyn's 'Natural Selection' or Kontext's subducted bass rider 'Blinkende Stjerne' this is a seriously essential set for any dubstep heads without a turntable.
