We're ditching the 'Dance Du Jour' series and just picking up on 14 of the primest Teched-out and infectious riddims for discerning dancers and DJs. In particular, we've tried to isolate those rollin', swingin' productions which have come to converge in the House music spectrum, consolidating Chicago Juke with OG Garage, hypnotic Techno and Electro. From more learned, experienced hands we find Blackdown tipping to Steve Gurley and Zed Bias with his wicked 'A Debt Repaid remix', next to the Berlin-augmented Funky of Nick Höppner's 'A Peck And A Pawn', and Peverelist's rare sub 130bpm excursion for Left_Blank Records. At the other end of the scale, we 'Set The Tone' with crucial, London-ized House from Ossie, Slackk, Champion, NKC and Bok Bok, while exploring meticulously minimal, slinky reductions from Roska, Szare and Orphan101. Floating somewhere in between, you'll catch Darling Farah's hypnotically synthetisized 'Younger', Falty DL's stirring remake of Photek, and Teeth's hi-rolling 'CNT '...www.boomkat.com
