Berkane Sol's Geiom hooks up with a couple of collaborators in the form of Earlybird and Spamchop for two tracks of skewed steppers styles. The effort with Earlybird on 'Net Weight' is an electronically enhanced steppers production with scuttling percussion and a pistoning 4/4 bass keeping the thing afloat, but our interests lie on the B-side with the killer 'Geile Zwazo'. Hooking up with young talent Spamchop, the pair pit their wits into a turbulent bass rider with well sculpted subbass inflating and morphing the bottom end while tricky percussive twists swallow dive and skip about the riddim for a restlessly effective mover with a sinister melodic touch.
